What does the AI do, and do candidates know it's an AI?

Francisca calls each applicant during your calling window, asks your screening questions, answers questions about the job from your script, and scores and summarizes the call. Qualified candidates move on by themselves: to the assessments, or straight to the interview booking link when the position skips the DISC and B.A.S.E. tests. Yes, candidates know: at the start of every call she says she is an automated assistant, not a person.

How are minutes counted, and what happens if I go over?

Minutes are the time Francisca spends on calls, including short calls that reach voicemail, counted per calendar month with each call rounded up to the minute. A full screening uses about 5.5 minutes, so every plan also shows about how many full screenings it covers. At 80% your admins get a banner and an email. At 100% calls pause until next month, unless you buy a minute pack (100, 250 or 500 minutes, valid until the end of the following month) or extra minutes are turned on for your plan, billed at the add-on rate shown in Pricing. New paid plans start with automatic top-up on (one 100 minute pack at a time, up to 2 packs a month), and admins can change it or turn it off in the Plan tab.

Question 3

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes. There is no cancellation fee and no long contract. Cancel from the Plan tab (in the billing portal, or with a cancellation request) and you keep access until the end of the period you already paid for. Export your data first if you want a copy.

Question 4

Is there a free trial? Do I need a credit card?

Accepted Answer

Yes. The trial lasts 14 days and includes 15 voice minutes (about 2 full screenings) and up to 5 call simulations, with no credit card needed. When it ends, pick a plan to keep going.

Which languages are supported?

Accepted Answer

Francisca speaks English, Spanish and Portuguese, and switches during the call when the candidate prefers another language. The manager panel, candidate pages, emails and the manual are in all three as well.

Question 6

Can I choose the agent's name and voice?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Each company picks the agent's name (the default is Francisca) and a voice for each language, with a sample before saving. She introduces herself with your company name and city and always says she is an AI assistant.

Can I use my own phone number?

Accepted Answer

Yes. In the Plan tab, pick the area code and the number: on paid plans with card billing it is bought and connected right away (included in the larger plans, a monthly add-on on the others); during the free trial you send a request that the platform approves. To keep a number you already have, port it from the panel (form, recent bill and authorization signed online; 1 to 4 weeks) or forward its calls to your Bússola number, with a guide per carrier and a free test. For a main line, forwarding only the job calls is usually best.

Can Bússola post in Facebook groups for me?

Accepted Answer

Not by itself, because Facebook does not allow apps to post in groups. Bússola does everything except the final click: it picks today's groups, writes the post in each group's language and prepares a tracking link and a QR image. You copy, open the group and post. Automatic posting to your own Facebook Page and Instagram is coming soon, after Meta's app review.

Question 9

Does Bússola send text messages?

Texting is available on paid plans after your company's carrier registration (A2P 10DLC), submitted in Settings with a preview and the costs. Once the campaign is approved, texting turns on: reminders, apply by text and the messages inbox. Until then, follow ups go by email and the WhatsApp button opens your own WhatsApp with a ready message.

Does it work with the tools I already use?

Yes. Export new hires and hours to Gusto, QuickBooks or CSV, order Checkr background checks, sync interviews with Google Calendar and Meet, and connect Deputy or When I Work for scheduling and time clock (CSV for Homebase, ZenMaid and Connecteam). Growth and Pro add API keys and signed webhooks for Zapier, Make or your own systems.

Is it legal? What about TCPA consent and call recording?

Bússola is built around consent. On the application form, the sentence right above the Apply button says that applying lets the company call the candidate, including with an AI assistant, and we save the exact text shown, the date and the IP. The AI calls only people with recorded consent: people you add or import get a consent request first, and candidates from Indeed confirm by email. Calls never go out before 8 am or after 9 pm in the candidate's local time. Francisca says she is an AI and that the call is recorded, and asks if it is a good time. Candidates can stop calls and texts at any time. Hiring compliance remains your responsibility; this is not legal advice.

Question 12

Who owns the data? Can I export or delete it?

Your company owns its data; we process it on your behalf under our Data Processing Addendum. Admins can export everything as a ZIP (JSON and CSV, plus resumes and templates), anonymize or delete any candidate, and close the account, after which all data is permanently deleted in 30 days.

How is the data secured?

Accepted Answer

Data travels over HTTPS and each company's data is kept separate. Sensitive onboarding data and documents (SSN, bank details, date of birth, tax forms, uploads and signed documents) are also encrypted at rest and masked on screen. Admins can see an access history of sign ins, opened profiles, downloads, played calls and exports.

Does it replace my recruiter?

Accepted Answer

No. Francisca handles the first call so nobody waits, but people decide. She never rejects anyone for a low score; your team reviews the recordings, transcripts and scores, runs the interviews and decides who gets hired.

Question 15

How long does setup take?

Accepted Answer

Not long. A guided setup walks you through your company details, your team, your first positions, voice screening, your careers page and your phone number. You can skip any step and finish it later, and you can simulate a call with your microphone before Francisca calls anyone.

What does a screening cost, and what is my cost per hire?

Accepted Answer

A full screening uses about 5.5 voice minutes, and every plan shows about how many full screenings it covers. Calls that reach voicemail use about 1 minute. In the Reports tab, Bússola shows your real cost per hire by source, with time to hire and retention.
